Community Creativity Integrity Firm Projects

Craig Gaulden Davis - The Firm
1957-1970 | Craig and Gaulden Architects
Clemson University classmates Kirk Craig and Earle Gaulden organized Craig and Gaulden Architects after Kirk had finished graduate school at Harvard and Earle at Georgia Tech. By that time both had served in Korea. The firm began operations in 1957 in a house on Augusta Road in Greenville, South Carolina. Bill Davis, a former student of Kirk's at Clemson, joined the firm in the Sixties.

1971-1985 | Craig, Gaulden and Davis, Architects, Inc.
Over the next decade and a half, Craig Gaulden and Davis, Architects, Inc. grew from a small local firm to a regional practice and moved to its present quarters at Washington Park. The practice was characterized by resourcefulness, a hands-on approach to project delivery, and unwavering integrity.

1986-2002 | Craig, Gaulden and Davis, Inc.
Three new disciplines - structural engineering, landscape architecture, and interior design - were added in 1986, and the word Architects dropped from the name to reflect the broader mission of the firm. Public and private clients called on Craig, Gaulden and Davis, Inc. to help them meet increasingly complex and community-changing challenges.

2003-Present | Craig Gaulden Davis
Today, led by its second generation of leaders, Craig Gaulden Davis remains committed to the values imbedded in its DNA: community, creativity and integrity. Architects and interior designers work together to find solutions that reach beyond building design to positively impact organizations and the communities they serve.
